Our sales-assistant will charge you for your purchases – including applicable VAT – and will ask you to present your credit card. The sales-assistant will make an imprint of this credit card on a (credit) voucher from the participating credit card company. Finally your sales-assistant will give you a receipt or sales-slip and a postage free pre-addressed envelope.*
If your goods aren’t too numerous, or too heavy, carry them as hand luggage, show them to customs as you’re leaving the European Union (EU) and have your sales-slip stamped and go straight to the airport post office and mail it to us before you leave these shores.
Metz&Co. will refund the VAT, directly on your credit card, after we received the proof of export (customs stamped receipt, invoice or sales-slip). ** (Finally you pay only the actual price of the goods).
If you prefer to pay in cash, please bring a valid credit card as well. Metz&Co. will refund the VAT, on the selected credit card.
If you want to collect your VAT in cash: Have your sales-slip stamped and present this proof of export within 2 month (after the day of purchase) at our office. (Office hours).
If Metz&Co. arranges shipping for you (outside the EU) then you pay no VAT at all. Goods will travel on costs and risks of the customer.
